Atomfall Skethermoor Map

Atomfall Skethermoor Map with Marked Points of Interest and TechRaptor Watermark

The Atomfall Skethermoor map represents one of the most dangerous areas above ground. The northern part of the map is patrolled by Outlaws, and that's the easy part — most of the remainder is patrolled by Protocol Soldiers and B.A.R.D. Robots, backed up with Turrets covering multiple checkpoints and bunkers.

The downside of heavy Protocol patrols is also an upside — killing the Protocol Soldiers here is one of the best ways to refill ammo for your guns, especially since you can't reliably buy Rifle Ammo from any merchants.

Notably, you can shoot and kill the Protocol Soldiers here without any consequences in Wyndham Village. Fighting them will be a necessity anyway as they are hostile if you want to explore most of the best locations in this region.

Notable Skethermoor Locations

Here are the places you can visit in Skethermoor.

Brinsop Manor Ruins

The Brinsop Manor Ruins are just that — ruins of an old manor. Outlaws patrol the area outside of the manor, and you can find a couple of Metal Detector caches within its walls.

Crop Fields

The Crop Fields are where prison labor is used to grow food. This is a wide-open area that is heavily patrolled by Protocol Soldiers, so you'll want to be careful when you're moving through here.

Greenhouses

The Greenhouses are an extension of Protocol's prison labor program; they have some Prisoners hanging around and Protocol Soldiers patrolling the area.

The Interchange

The Skethermoor entrance to The Interchange is located right next to a large Protocol Camp, and the interior of the lobby is also occupied by well-armed Protocol Soldiers. If you want to open up this entrance, you should be prepared for a lot of combat.

As always, you can find a good amount of loot and a Pneumatic Tube here.

Nora's Barn

Nora's Barn is home to Nora Thorndike, a merchant who can sell you some pretty useful items. Her barn is an indoor location, too, so you can safely escape from combat here.

Protocol Camp

The Protocol Camp is one of the most heavily fortified locations in the overworld with the exception of Wyndham Village. There are B.A.R.D. Robots, Turrets, and dozens of Protocol Soldiers all around here.

Naturally, though, there is also a fair amount of loot to be found, especially in the nearby Armory.

Protocol Field Station

The Protocol Field Station is one of several B.A.R.D. Bunkers in the region. You can expect to find a Pneumatic Tube here, a fair few Protocol Soldiers, and some loot.

Protocol Workshop

The Protocol Workshop is another B.A.R.D. Bunker that is packed full of Protocol Soldiers. You can find a useful key here, along with a Pneumatic Tube and other useful items.

Radio Tower

The Skethermoor Radio Tower is one of three Radio Towers in the game that must be activated to complete Joyce Tanners' ending.

Road Blockade

The Road Blockade is an area that is fenced off and heavily patrolled by Protocol Soldiers and B.A.R.D. Robots.

Ruined Hamlet

The Ruined Hamlet is a small town that has long fallen into disrepair. You can find a bit of loot here, but it's otherwise not all that interesting.

Secluded Cave

The Secluded Cave is a critical location for those of you looking for the best weapons: the Modified JM-3 rifle can be found here, and it's arguably one of the best weapons in the game.

Skethermoor Prison

Skethermoor Prison is a B.A.R.D. Bunker that has been appropriated as a prison by the Protocol faction. It is under heavy guard — there are Protocol Soldiers, B.A.R.D. Robots, and Turrets all over the place.

The bottommost levels of the Skethermoor Prison hold Dr. Garrow, a former B.A.R.D. scientist who is linked to one of the game's endings. There's a fair amount of loot to be found here including Training Stimulants and a Signal Redirector.

Slate Mine Caves

The Slate Mine Caves are home to Reg Stansfield, the first merchant you'll encounter in the game. These caves can take you directly to Slatten Dale.

Slate Mine Ruins

The Slate Mine Ruins have a bit of loot, but the most important thing you'll find here is the Cottage Cellar and its associated puzzle. Be careful in this area — a B.A.R.D. Robot equipped with a flamethrower patrols nearby.

Standing Stones

The Standing Stones is an interesting structure that otherwise doesn't have much of value.

Trader Camp

This Trader Camp is home to the merchant Corporal "Bootsy" Hughes. He tends to sell ammo for your guns and high explosives such as Grenades and Sticky Bombs.

Vehicle Storage Bunker

The Vehicle Storage Bunker is yet another former B.A.R.D. Bunker. As you might expect, you can find a Pneumatic Tube and a fair amount of loot inside. This particular bunker has been occupied by Outlaws rather than Protocol Soldiers.

Wyndham Village

The path to Wyndham Village is relatively safe; the area surrounding the gate is free of Outlaws and Protocol Soldiers. However, you won't be able to go too deep into Skethermoor before you start encountering resistance.
