As a survival game, Atomfall puts emphasis on crafting many of the items you'll need for your adventure in the Quarantine Zone. Naturally, you'll need the raw materials to make items while you're out in the field — read on to see what these crafting materials look like and where you can find them!
Where to Find Atomfall Resources for Crafting
Here's where you can find each of the core Atomfall resources you'll need for crafting:
Where to Find Alcohol
Alcohol can be found in most residential structures, whether they're occupied or not. Naturally, you can also find it throughout the Grendel's Head pub.
The merchant Alf Buckshaw in Grendel's Head has a chance to sell Alcohol.
Where to Find Chemicals
Generally speaking, Chemicals can be found in any "industrial" area such as laboratories or factories. It can often be found in storerooms or medical facilities in B.A.R.D. Bunkers, including the Medical sector of The Interchange.
Where to Find Cloth
Cloth can be found all over the world in Atomfall. It's fairly ubiquitous and difficult to miss; look for clothing hanging off of a hook or a folded-up white piece of cloth on a surface.
Bathrooms are an easy place to find Cloth since the toilet paper, washcloths, and towels count as Cloth.
Where to Find Glass
Glass can usually be found anywhere where people live; you can get this crafting resource from glasses, bottles, and the like.
Where to Find Glue
Glue is typically found in areas with workshops such as garages and basements.
Where to Find Gun Oil
Gun Oil can usually be found deep in dungeons and bunkers such as the Castle Ruins or the various B.A.R.D. Bunkers spread throughout the Quarantine Zone. You can also occasionally loot Gun Oil from dead enemies, most commonly from Protocol Soldiers.
You'll want to pick up every bit of Gun Oil you find — it is the rarest and most important crafting material required for upgrading your guns.
Where to Find Gunpowder
Gunpowder is usually found in areas where you're likely to find weapons, such as the armory rooms of bases. You can also purchase Gunpowder from the merchant Reg Stansfield in the Slate Mine Caves if he has it in stock.
Where to Find Herbs
Herbs can be found growing in the wild and in greenhouses, farms, and gardens. They're essential for crafting some of the most important medicines such as the Strange Tonic.
You can also purchase Herbs from the merchants Billy Gorse and Mother Jago in Casterfell Woods if they have it in stock.
Where to Find Iodine
Iodine can typically be found in laboratory settings such as Dr. Holder's makeshift lab in the basement of St. Katherine's Church in Wyndham Village or the Medical sector in The Interchange.
Where to Find Poison
Poison is somewhat of a rarer commodity, but it can be found in some laboratory settings. You can also find it in Druid camps throughout Casterfell Woods.
Where to Find Scrap
Scrap is a fairly common material that can be found almost anywhere in various forms. It's one of the materials you'll need to upgrade your guns, so you should never pass it up if you can grab it.
Where to Find Spores
Spores can be found in areas infected by the Oberon fungus; it's most commonly acquired by picking it from the purple flowers shown above. It can also be harvested from dead mutant plants. You'll need the "Blue Fingers" Survival Skill to harvest it from these sources, though.
You can also purchase Spores from the merchant Mother Jago in Casterfell Woods.
Where to Find String
String is typically found in areas where people are living. You can also get string by disarming tripwires if you have the appropriate Skill.
Where to Find Water
Water can be found almost anywhere people are living or have lived; look for the obvious yellow flask as shown in the above image.
