Atomfall Metal Detector Guide | Buried Cache Locations

This guide will teach you how to use the Atomfall Metal Detector and where you can find Buried Caches filled with loot in the Quarantine Zone.

How the Atomfall Metal Detector Works

The Atomfall Metal Detector will light up when you're near a Buried Cache. The red lights on the top point toward the direction of the Buried Cache, and the meter on the bottom will go higher as you get closer.

When all five red lights are lit and the meter is at 10, you've found the Buried Cache. You can then follow the on-screen prompt to get your loot. Based on our experience, the loot in Buried Caches appears to be random, but the locations of these Buried Caches are consistent across different games.

Slatten Dale Buried Caches

• 26.7E, 70.9N in a ruined building
• 29.0E, 71.1N inside the Slate Mine Caves
• 24.3E, 71.0N in the Bunker near the broken robot in the large room
• 24.7E, 74.2 N through a crevice near an empty outdoor bunker
• 27.3E, 75.6N inside a ruined Building
• 23.5E, 77.3N near the Convoy Wreckage
• 27.9E, 78.9 Outside the Sewer Gate

Wyndham Village Buried Caches

• 30.3E, 78.6N in the garden above the old lady's house
• 31.4E, 82.1N in a restricted building southeast of the Mereview Hotel
• 30.7E, 83.8N
• 32.2E, 79.1N near a grave in the yard of St. Katherine's Church

The Interchange Buried Caches

• 31.0E, 77.8N A short distance into the Slatten Dale entrance to The Interchange, to the left of the first power switch
• Found behind the Platform Gate next to the Data Store A entrance to the main cave
• Found at the bottom of the staircase leading up to Medical from the Data Store A door entrance
• Found in the cave with multiple Ferals just outside of the Robotics Sector lower level exit into the main cave of The Interchange
• Found underneath the stairs leading to the start of the rail tunnel in the Windscale Plant sector
• Found in the Windscale Plant, on the right side of the first large open room with no ceiling after the first rail tunnel
