In our Atomfall Endings Guide, we'll tell you what you need to do to unlock each of the six possible endings you can earn in this game.

How the Endings Work in Atomfall
There are a total of 6 Atomfall endings that you can get. Each ending is reached by escaping with a particular NPC, usually by completing a specific set of tasks to fit their escape plan.
As a general rule, all endings have the following minimum requirements:
- You must meet the NPC associated with the ending
- The associated NPC must be alive
- The Interchange's Central Processing must be fully powered up
Although it is not strictly necessary, you will want either the Experimental Inoculation from Dr. Holder or the Strange Tonic recipe from Mother Jago; either of these items will increase your resistance to infection and help you survive the final area of the map. (Naturally, having both is much better.)
You will also need to travel through the Windscale Plant and the Oberon Digsite. These areas are filled with Ferals and B.A.R.D. Robots on your way in, and you'll have to face different types of enemies when you escape through the same route depending on your ending. This means you'll want to craft plenty of healing supplies, have a good gun, and plenty of ammo.
With that established, let's break down how to get each of the six Atomfall endings!

How to Get All Atomfall Endings
Here's how to get each of the six Atomfall endings. Successfully completing an ending and escaping with that related NPC will earn you an achievement.
'Back Door' Ending (Dr. Garrow)
To find Dr. Garrow, there are a two main ways to start this path to get her ending.
- "Help" Sims in Wyndham Village (Either with information about the shopkeeper, or the Vicar - a questline that can be started by entering the Church.) He will give you a pass that will let you peacefully cross into Skethermoor and the Prison itself.
- Breaking into the Prison via Skethermoor, or from the Interchange itself (recommended) by collecting the Crane Control Room Keycard and using the crane to open the way near Robotics.
You'll find her in a cage inside the prison, at the very bottom of the facility. Using the Signal Redirector, you can free her to continue this ending. She'll escape through the door to the interchange, locking it behind her if you didn't make your way in through option 2 above.
She'll run straight to Central Processing in the Interchange, and you can talk to her again. She'll ask you to enter Robotics, and collect her notes from her Office, which can be unlocked with the Head Office Keycard in lower Robotics. Be ready to fight a few Robots. Find these on her desk, and return to her in Central Processing.
Once you've returned her notes, she'll send you to the Casterfell Dam Data Store, located to the East of the Casterfell Dam.
Inside you'll find another Robot to take down, and then head all the way to the back to turn on the power for the doors by using the Signal Redirector again. This will enable the turret outside the door, as well as unleash waves of rats. Using the signal redirector, you'll need to flip the power switches to enable power on the far door close to the entrance, as well as the two doors before if you need more training stimulants.

Head upstairs to the 2nd Floor, where you'll find another Data Card Reader, which restores full power to the Data Store. Head downstairs to the console, and choose "GEN ERA" to continue working with Dr. Garrow to escape by deleting the data. After doing so, head back to the Interchange's Central Processor to talk with her again.
If you'd like - Garrow will explain Oberon and what happened in the area. Once she's done, she'll tell you the final thing she needs - a sample from Oberon.
If you've powered up all 4 Data Stores in the Interchange already, you can proceed to Oberon. If not, that's the next thing you'll need to do in order to enter the Windscale Plant and get to Oberon.
Cross over to Oberon via the Windscale Plant, and I highly recommend that you bring a few Strange Potions with you to counteract the effects of Infection, as well as having the Experimental Shot that unlocks some advantageous skills. You'll need to make your way through the Windscale Plant, heading through two tunnels to get to the Oberon Dig Site itself.
Once inside the Oberon Dig Site, head left and make your way through the structure until you reach the Control Room. On the lower level is the "Sample Extractor Console" level - pull this lever and watch the machinery take the sample. When it's finished, head out the left door of the Control Room, and you should only have to fight 2 enemies to get to the sample.
Retrace your steps to return to Dr. Garrow, who is now in her office in Lower Robotics. Escape with her to complete this ending.
'Emergency Extraction' Ending (Joyce Tanner)
First, you'll need to head to the Remote Bunker in the northeast of Casterfell Woods to meet Joyce Tanner. After you've done that and opened up The Interchange, you'll find her camped out in Data Store Charlie.
Joyce will ask you to retrieve data from the Casterfell Dam Data Store at 22.5E, 92.4N in Casterfell Woods by reactivating the computer and using the "GEN MOVE" command. Take note that doing this will cut off the "Back Door" ending with Dr. Garrow entirely; if you want to get both, you should make a hard save before executing the command.
Next, Joyce tells you that she can get a message out to her compatriots outside of the Quarantine Zone, but you'll need to activate the three Radio Towers to do this. There is one Radio Tower each in Slatten Dale, Skethermoor, and Casterfell Woods.
Each Radio Tower will require its own special key to bring it online; here's where you can find them:
- Slatten Dale Radio Tower Keycard: Found in a cave in the quarry below the Slatten Dale Radio Tower at 31.0E, 75.3N
- Casterfell Woods Radio Tower Keycard: Found inside Bunker L9 at 23.3E, on the upper level filled with poisonous gas.
- Skethermoor Radio Tower Keycard: Found in the Vehicle Storage Bunker at 43.4E, 74.6N, on a large table in the far back of the upper level.
Once you have the Radio Towers powered back up, return to Joyce Tanner. She'll ask you to secure a sample of Oberon at the Oberon Dig Site and then kill Oberon after you collect it.
You won't have any issues if you kill Oberon with explosives. If, however, you kill it with Dr. Holder's poison, she'll add an extra objective for you to go and kill Dr. Holder before she'll allow you to escape.
As with the other endings, you'll have to fight your way through the newly-spawned enemies in the Windscale Plant and in The Interchange to make it to Joyce. When you reach her extraction chopper and talk to her, she'll knock you unconscious and you'll unlock this ending.
'At One with the Soil' Ending (Mother Jago)
Make your way to Casterfell Woods and meet Mother Jago. She'll tell you that she needs you to retrieve her notebook from the Druids in the Castle Ruins. Retrieve the notebook and return it to her; she'll then give you an offering for The Speaking Cave. Deliver the offering to The Speaking Cave and then return to Mother Jago.
Retrieve the Growth Stimulant in the Medical Tunnels in The Interchange, and then make your way down to the Oberon Dig Site. Put the Growth Stimulant into the Fire Safety Fluid Input on the catwalk to the Northwest of the Oberon meteorite in the Oberon Dig Site. Head down to the pit and open the Fire Safety System Valve on the two yellow fire safety foam cannons on opposite sites of the Oberon meteorite. Then, activate the Fire Safety System in the control room.
The Oberon Dig Site will start to collapse and you'll have to escape. The Windscale Plant will be filled with some Protocol Soldiers, at least one B.A.R.D. Flamethrower Robot, and Captain Sims near the exit. Heavily-armed Protocol soldiers will be in The Interchange fighting Druids; the Druids will be friendly to you and the Protocol soldiers will be hostile to you.
Make your way to the Castle Ruins and you will find it under attack from Protocol Soldiers with the Druids defending. Head inside and make your way to the underground area in the Castle Ruins. You can opt to speak to Mother Jago if you wish, but all you need to do is dive into the glowing blue pit to complete this ending.
'Operation Atomfall' Ending (Captain Sims)
Completing the "Operation Atomfall" Ending starts with meeting Captain Sims in Wyndham Village. He'll ask you to report anything suspicious that you find to him in exchange for getting free reign through Wyndham Village, unlike the other citizens.
There are a few tidbits of information that you could give him such as the pagan sympathies of Morris Wick, but the easiest thing to do is to immediately head into St. Katherine's Church and discover the murdered woman. You can then report this to Captain Sims, and he'll give you a new task.
Before your arrival, a Protocol Radio Part was stolen and Captain Sims needs it. Head into The Speaking Cave at 23.0E, 85.4N in Casterfell Woods and you'll find the Protocol Radio Part all the way toward the back.
Bring the Protocol Radio Part back to Captain Sims and he'll then tell you to destroy Oberon. A note: in my pre-launch playthrough, destroying Oberon with the poison gas bugged out Captain Sims; it's easier (and much less work) to destroy Oberon with explosives.
Fight your way back out of the Windscale Plant and The Interchange and make your way to the Village Hall in Wyndham Village; you'll find a note from Captain Sims telling you to meet him in Skethermoor. Travel to Skethermoor, talk to Captain Sims, and you'll unlock this ending.
'Oubliette' Ending (Dr. Holder)
First, you'll have to make your way to the Medical sector in The Interchange. You'll find the Church Cellar Key to the right immediately after entering; this will get you access to the basement of St. Katherine's Church. Head inside and you'll meet Dr. Holder.
Dr. Holder will explain his plan to kill Oberon and he'll give you access to the Experimental Inoculation, a critical item that unlocks the third column of Conditioning Skills; one of these Skills increases your resistance to infection and will make surviving the Windscale Plant and Oberon Dig Site much easier.
Dr. Holder wants you to retrieve Sample One from the lower level of the Medical sector in The Interchange. Make your way back to the Medical sector after meeting Dr. Holder and retrieve Sample One from the lower levels per his instructions by accessing the lift with Holder's Keycard and exploring the lower area of the Medical sector.
You'll also have to free Dr. Garrow from Skethermoor Prison if you haven't already; simply head inside and work your way to the bottom of the prison. You'll be able to free her with the items you find inside the prison which include the Signal Redirector if you don't have one already.
Return to Dr. Holder with Sample One and he'll poison it. At this point, he'll ask you where Dr. Garrow is; if she's already in The Interchange, he'll tell you that he'll meet you there. When you make it to The Interchange, Dr. Holder will kill her and explain that her recklessness led to the catastrophe that resulted in the quarantine.
Dr. Holder will then hand you Poisoned Sample One and tell you to make your way to the Oberon Dig Site. Clear out the enemies if desired, then put the Poisoned Sample One into the Fire Safety Fluid Input on the catwalk to the Northwest of the Boeron meteorite in the Oberon Dig Site.
Head down to the pit and open the fluid release valves on the two yellow fire safety foam cannons on opposite sites of the Oberon meteorite. Then, activate the Fire Safety System in the control room.
Escape the Oberon Dig Site and you'll have to fight past Druids and Mother Jago in the Windfall Plant. When you make it to The Interchange, you'll have to make your way past Protocol Soldiers and Outlaws fighting a battle in the path to Slatten Dale.
Make your way to the Medical Tunnels by traveling to Data Store C and working your way downstairs. You'll find Dr. Holder at the end of the Medical Tunnels; speak with him and you'll escape, unlocking the "Oubliette" ending.
'Do You Require the Operator?' Ending (The Voice on the Telephone)
The "Do You Require the Operator?" Ending is the equivalent of Fallout: New Vegas' "Wildcard" ending — it serves as a failsafe if all of the other endings are closed off to you due to the related NPCs being dead. (After all, you can't kill a voice on a phone.) It is also one of the easiest endings to get.
Once you have access to the Windscale Plant, you should get a phone call from The Voice on the Telephone promising you an escape if you kill Oberon. Make your way through the Windscale Plant and the Oberon Dig site. Arm the four self-destruct charges surrounding Oberon, then pull the self-destruct lever on the console.
You must then escape the Oberon Dig Site. From there, the Windscale Plant will be filled with a mix of Druids and infected Druids who will fight you. The red phone at the Windscale Plant entrance will ring, and The Voice will tell you to return to the Bunker where you started the game to escape.
The Interchange and Wyndham Village will be under attack by Druids, and Protocol will be fighting back against them. Similarly, Slatten Dale will be under attack by Druids and the Outlaws will be fighting back against them.
Make your way to Slatten Dale, head back to the original Bunker, and return to the room where you woke up. Answer the phone, and say that you are ready to leave to get this ending.

How to Get All Six Atomfall Endings in One Playthrough
It's possible to get all six Atomfall endings in one playthrough as long as you make a hard save at a critical moment. Make sure to make a hard save before you execute the "GEN ERA" or "GEN MOVE" commands at the Casterfell Dam Data Store in Casterfell Woods; each of these choices will lock out one ending.
Once you've made this save, you can do all five of the other endings in the same playthrough as long as you don't kill any of the related NPCs. When you have those five endings done, you can reload this save, make the other choice between GEN ERA and GEN MOVE, and unlock the sixth and final ending.
