This guide will tell you where to find the basic Astrometica resources that you'll need to craft the items and base structures to survive in space.
As you might expect, a big part of Astrometica is collecting resources for crafting items, building your base, and powering all of your machines. In this guide, we'll tell you where you can most easily find the raw materials you need to thrive in the Theta-9 asteroid belt and beyond!
Where to Find Astrometica Resources
This is a list of all of the core crafting resources we've found and where you can get them.
Where to Find Blue Crystal
Blue Crystal can primarily be found in three locations:
- In the caves of Theta-9
- In Xenon asteroids found within the Theta-12 region
- In Crystal containers
Fortunately, it is only used for a handful of crafting recipes.
Where to Find Celestite
As far as we can tell, Celestite can only be found inside Celestite containers within certain locations.
Where to Find Coal
Coal can be found floating slightly above the Starting Emergency Pod. You can rarely find it (or its compressed version) within certain points of interest.
Where to Find Copper
Copper is a fairly common material that can be found near most points of interest; it is fairly abundant in the starting area. In the unlikely scenario that you run out, you can find several more clusters of Copper near other points of interest.
You can also find a fair amount of Copper in the Theta-12 region, but you'll need a Summon Vehicle with a Warp Module in order to travel through the Warp Gate.
Where to Find Fabric
Fabric can only be found in Fabric Packages or as a loose item in certain points of interest; there does not appear to be a way to craft it.
Where to Find Fertilizer Pack
Fertilizer Packs can be found in limited quantities in certain points of interest; unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to craft it or farm it in large quantities.
Where to Find Fungu
Fungu can be found on most shielded asteroids; simply look for the glowing mushrooms on the side of rocks. Not all shielded asteroids will necessarily have Fungu, but most of them will.
Where to Find Gold
Gold deposits can rarely be found tucked away inside of space debris or other points of interest. The most easily accessible large collection of gold deposits can be found floating above the Old Hub Station location. Additionally, gold can be found within material containers found inside of points of interest.
Where to Find Ice
Ice can most readily be found in between the starting location and Mox Island; it can sparingly be found elsewhere. It's difficult to miss due to its light white and blue coloration.
Where to Find Iridium
Iridium can be found within the Toxic Cloud; somewhat ironically, you'll need Iridium in order to make the suit that allows you to survive in the Toxic Cloud. Fortunately, you can find small quantities of Iridium in other points of interest.
Where to Find Iron
Much like Copper, Iron can be reliably found throughout the entire Theta-9 Asteroid Belt in large quantities. It tends to be clustered together in groups; if you find one Iron deposit, you're likely to find many more nearby.
Where to Find Nanite
Nanite is a rare resource that can only be found within certain points of interest as far as we can tell.
Where to Find Nickel
Small deposits of Nickel can be found within certain points of interest such as the Vehicle Manufacturer Cave. However, the greatest quantity of Nickel can be found floating about the Asteroid Depot location, a short distance behind the Theta-9 station where you'll use most of the keycards you find in the early game.
Where to Find Organic
Small quantities of the Organic resource can be found floating right outside of the Starting Emergency Pod where you begin your adventure in Astrometica; it can similarly be found floating around some other points of interest.
Additionally, you can find some Organic within Organic Crates found in some points of interest. This is a limited resource overall, though, and you should try to conserve it as much as possible.
Where to Find Quartz
Small pieces of Quartz can be found near the starting location in Astrometica. If you want more, you can often find it by mining the large green crystals attached to certain asteroids near the starting area and elsewhere.
Where to Find Red Celestite
Much like Celestite, Red Celestite can only be found within Celestite containers at certain points of interest as far as we can tell.
Where to Find Silver
You can find a handful of Silver deposits near the Emergency Pod close to the starting location. Once those are exhausted, you can find a large group of Silver deposits floating above the shielded dome located above and behind the Vehicle Manufacturer Cave location. Take care, though, as there are hostile drones in the area.
Silver can also be found inside of mineral containers at many points of interest.
Where to Find Sulfur
Sulfur is typically found within specialized containers that explode when broken with the Scrapper; make sure that you have some healing items with you if you intend to breach these containers. You can find several of these special canisters within the Manufacturing Dome location.
