With spooky season officially underway, it's once again time to take a look at Game Pass, and the Xbox Game Pass October 2024 lineup is looking pretty solid so far.

A major first-person shooter is joining the service later this month, but thanks to the way Xbox shook up its Game Pass tiers (a change about which the FTC was not happy) and pricing earlier this year, things aren't quite so simple as they perhaps should be.

Nevertheless, here's our look at the games that have been confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in October!

Xbox Game Pass October 2024 games - all the confirmed titles

Some of the games below are only coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate this month, and it's worth noting that Xbox Game Pass Standard is also getting a couple of games it didn't already have. We've indicated where this is the case as appropriate. Here we go!

  • MLB The Show 24 - October 2nd (console - Game Pass Standard)
  • Open Roads - October 2nd (console - Game Pass Standard)
  • Sifu - October 2nd (PC, console, cloud - all Game Pass tiers except Core)
  • Mad Streets - October 7th (PC, console, cloud - all Game Pass tiers except Core)
  • Inscryption - October 10th (PC, console, cloud - all Game Pass tiers except Core)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - October 25th (PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate)

Ones to watch this month

As ever, we've decided to shine the spotlight on a couple of the games we think will be worth checking out this month. Here's what you should be playing on Game Pass in October 2024!

Sifu - October 2nd (PC, console, cloud - all Game Pass tiers except Core)

Sloclap's brawler is a prime example of a difficult game that weaves its difficulty into its core gameplay mechanics, and although it can be a little frustrating, it's immensely rewarding as well.

Getting to check it out on Game Pass is a win-win as far as we're concerned. You can check out our glowing review of the game right here.

Inscryption - October 10th (PC, console, cloud - all Game Pass tiers except Core)

What better way to usher in spooky season than to check out one of the spookiest games 2021 had to offer?

Daniel Mullins' creepy card game hides more than just an addictive roguelite; it's also got a deep narrative to uncover, a haunted shack to explore, and more. You can read our Inscryption review here.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - October 25th (PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate)

Call of Duty is landing on Game Pass on day one for the first time this month.

Since Microsoft introduced its confusing new pricing tiers, Black Ops 6 is only appearing on day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Still, if you're subscribed to either of those services, you'll get to check out the full game when it launches on October 25th. It's Call of Duty, so you probably already know whether you're planning to do so or not.

As you can see, you should have plenty to enjoy on Game Pass this spooky season, but sadly, as always, some games must leave the service as well. Here's what's leaving Game Pass this month.

  • Dyson Sphere Program - October 15th
  • Everspace 2 - October 15th
  • From Space - October 15th
  • F1 Manager 2023 - October 15th
  • Scorn - October 15th

Stay tuned for more on Game Pass as and when we get it, and don't forget to let us know if we've missed anything!
