Entertaining the family, especially during the summer, is tough, and while there are days you can easily go outside and enjoy the weather, it will rain at some point in the future. When that occurs, you should check out these family games on PlayStation Plus Premium like Golf With Your Friends and LittleBigPlanet 3 if you have the subscription.
10 - Knack
Knack is an infamous character in the PlayStation community as his game received a mixed reception during the PS4 launch week. However, this is a pretty fun PlayStation Plus Premium family title. It has a CG-animated film-style art style and the environments are bright and beautiful. It plays like a mixture of a 3D platformer and a beat-em-up as you dodge attacks and strike foes with Knack's mighty fists. It can be quite tough, so you should play it with your kid if you're a parent.
A cool mechanic that Knack features is that the character grows throughout the level. He collects crystals and harnesses that resource to grow into a kaiju like creature. It's pretty engaging to see how the protagonist grows into a monstrous size.

9 - I Am Bread
If you're looking for a funny game to get the kids laughing, I Am Bread is a good option. The premise is that you're controlling a moving slice of bread, and the controls are awkward because of its anatomy. You'll have to keep the slice of bread from getting dirty while trying to get into the toaster.
The physics are well done as the bread flops from one to another. It might not be as entertaining as the other games on this list, but I Am Bread will be a distraction for a few minutes or so.

8 - LocoRoco Remastered
LocoRoco Remastered is originally a PSP game with a bright art style and animation that will keep the attention of your child. It will also entertain you as you roll, tilt, and slide through platforms in this colorful world rendered in 4K.
The game has over 40 levels, so this will take up around six hours of your time, according to HowLongToBeat. It's one of the cutest PlayStation Plus Premium family games right now.
7 - Cars 2
Cars 2 had majorly harsh critical and audience reception when the movie released, but the game fares much better. It takes the characters that fans of the series loves and puts them into a Mario Kart-like multiplayer game. Lightning McQueen, Mater, Nigel Gearsley, Finn McMuscle, and even Guido all join in on the race.
The stages are also vibrant as they're inspired by the original movie. Unfortunately, you cannot play the game online, but there are multiple modes included in Cars 2 to keep you and your kids busy. Keep in mind that this game is streamed to your console, so you may need a good connection to play Cars 2.
6 - Disney Universe
Another day, another Disney game. This time, you'll be playing the little known Disney Universe. The concept is simple. You're working together, taking out foes and dressing up as your favorite Disney characters, such as Tron, Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean's Jack Sparrow, Mike Wazowski from Monster's Inc, and Stitch from Lilo & Stitch. You're exploring six familiar worlds from Disney and Pixar history as you solve puzzles and defeat the bad guys. This is yet another streamed game, so make sure the connection is solid before venturing into Disney Universe.

5 - Tearaway Unfolded
3D platformers are perfect PlayStation Plus Premium family games as they test the problem solving skills of kids and still entertain adults with their charming visual style. Tearaway Unfolded is one such game. You're in a unique paper craft world as you play as an adorable messenger carrying an important delivery.
You can blow into the microphone to cause gusts of wind and you can light up a dark area while moving the DualShock 4 or DualSense's light bar around. It's a super creative game by a talented British studio Media Molecule.

4 - LittleBigPlanet 3
LittleBigPlanet 3 is another PlayStation Plus Premium family exclusive that has so much charm and cuteness that you'll want to hug a Sackboy immediately. This game has many fun 2D levels within its story campaign, and the best part is that you can play it with your family throughout the whole adventure.
You can dress up each Sackboy or Sackgirl to your liking with in-game costumes or DLC like Ratchet & Clank, the Inside Out Pixar movie, and many more properties.
You'll keep playing LittleBigPlanet 3 way past the campaign as well because there are many user-created levels you can check out. The community around this game is so creative. You can also make your own if you want to stretch your game design muscles. LittleBigPlanet 3 is also one of the best platformers on PlayStation Plus Premium.
3 - Golf With Your Friends
At one point in our childhood, we've played mini-golf, and the development team at Blacklight Interactive and Team17 blooms the fantasy elements of the pastime in video game form. Through some imaginative levels and mighty obstacles, you'll have to figure out how to get the ball to the hole, and it will be thrilling to be on the top of the leaderboard.
You can play Golf With Your Friends the traditional way or put on the ability to bounce the ball at any moment of the hit. This adds even more dimension to the levels as you try to find the right paths to skip. Playing this online "With Your Friends" is also a thrill.
2 - Ratchet & Clank (2016)
The Ratchet & Clank series has always been solid. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, the humor is spot on with families, and the gameplay is intense and exciting. For an older kid around 10-14, Ratchet & Clank is perfect as they wield powerful sci-fi guns in this magnificent universe. There is cartoon violence, making it more receptive for kids, and the abilities that they gain from the weapons are very entertaining.
For example, the Groovitron forces foes (even bosses) to dance to the beat as a disco ball is released into the battlefield. Meanwhile, the Suck Cannon can take in wooden crates and shoots them at the enemy. Insomniac always stretches their creativity in this series, and Ratchet & Clank (2016) is a representation of that.

1 - The LEGO Games
PlayStation Plus Premium has a bevy of LEGO games on the service, and as they follow a similar formula, we've placed them under the same category. The LEGO games are incredible for families as they provide childish violence, problem-solving puzzles, and a funny slapstick style to its comedy.
The graphics are also pleasant to look at, and collecting all the characters and collectibles is satisfying. It's also co-op, so you can play the game with your family.
The LEGO games also let you explore a variety of well-known locations from the movies and properties they take on. For example, you can sail the Black Pearl in LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, explore Hogwarts in the LEGO Harry Potter Collection, or delve deep into the Batcave in the LEGO Batman games.
