Sea of Stars is an RPG developed and published by Sabotage Studio, releasing for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on August 29, 2023. It features dual protagonists Valere and Zale, Children of the Solstice that can combine their powers to perform Eclipse Magic. This magic is the only known way to defeat monsters brought forth by an alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
Combat is turn-based, making use of timed button presses to boost damage or defend against attacks. Enemies skills can be interrupted by hitting them with a combination of different damage types, and there are no random battles at all. Out in the world, a lot of emphasis is placed on exploration and traversing diverse terrain. Outside of combat and exploration, players can go fishing, or take part in an optional minigame known as Wheels.
