Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons, also known as D&D, is the most popular of the Tabletop Role Playing Games on the market. Originally Dungeons & Dragons was spun off from Wargaming allowing players to take up the mantle of a single character instead of commanding an army. It was originally published by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc back in 1974 but since 1997 has been published by Wizards of the Coast.

Dungeons & Dragons games require a Dungeon Master (DM), who guides the adventure playing enemies in combat and NPCs to populate the world, and a party of players ready to head into adventure. While official content is produced with different adventures that players can complete and worlds to explore the DM can create a world of their own to put adventurers in. Throughout the years there have been a number of different editions of Dungeons & Dragons that have been released with differences in roleplaying gameplay and combat between them all.
