Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a return to the Dragon Age series after nearly a decade. It's an action RPG focused heavily on player choice and immersion in every aspect of the game. A departure from the series more tactical gameplay, Veilguard is fast-paced and in your face.
You play as Rook, the chosen hero destined to save Thedas from two escaped gods. The gods are malevolent and hellbent on reigning over the world again, enslaving and killing anyone who stands in their way.
To help along the way, Rook will recruit seven different distinct companions. Each of them have a unique set of abilities and are fully realized with their fleshed-out personalities, beliefs, desires, goals, and their own story arcs to explore as you play the game.
With so much at stake all over the world, Veilguard will see you travel everywhere in Thedas and interact with a variety of different factions in the game. Ingratiating yourself will help your cause in the expansive forests, cities, and ruins you'll explore.
