It appears the end is near for the Underworld, a virtual world created to continue developing the all-powerful AI known as A.L.I.C.E. This virtual reality puts the human race against those who live within the Dark Territory and they must now both fight for their lives.
A young girl has made her way into this virtual reality, but no one is quite sure as to whether she will hold the key to the survival of the human race or seal the fate of the world as we know it.
Players will embody a young man by the name of Kirito, who is the main character from the Sword Art Online anime series. Joining forces with his friends, Kirito will need to find a way to save the Underworld before it is completely wiped out and destroyed.
