Silent Hill 2 is a hugely influential survival horror game that was originally released in 2001.
The game follows James Sunderland, who travels to the titular town in order to investigate the origin of a letter he's received from his deceased wife.
As with other Silent Hill games, Silent Hill 2 focuses on exploration and puzzle-solving; while enemies are present in the game and it is possible to fight them, players are often encouraged to avoid combat in order to conserve resources.
A remake of Silent Hill 2 is currently in development at The Medium studio Bloober Team.
