Rune Factory 4 Special builds upon the original Rune Factory 4. In it, players can expect essentially the same experience as the original 3DS title, but now there's a new difficulty mode, new in-game cutscenes, and an updated opening sequence. There's also 13 fully-voice acted "Another Episode" bonus stories that are narrated by the marriage candidates that can be found in the game as well as Ventuswilll.
Speaking of Ventuswill, Rune Factory 4 Special has players growing crops, raising monsters, catching fish, cooking up delicious dishes, and crafting powerful equipment in the region of Selpha, which is ruled by the Native Dragon Ventuswill and you.
Rune Factory 4 Special was originally released on the Nintendo Switch in Japan back in 2019 and worldwide on February 25, 2020. It is now releasing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 7, 2022.
