After 17 years, The Rumble Fish 2, which has long languished on Japanese arcades since 2005, is now releasing in the West this winter. With The Rumble Fish 2 being an older game, this new re-release is bringing some new enhancements and features. These range from a widescreen 16:9 mode to a brand new Practice Mode that players can train in before getting beat up by other players all around the world. The Practice Mode should help players prepare for their eventual beatdown by allowing the AI to be customized, which will hopefully give even experienced players a challenge. The game will also have rollback netcode, which should help online modes play much smoother.
The Rumble Fish 2 will release in the West on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and PC this winter.
