Developed by SquareEnix and Acquire, Octopath Traveler is a brand new RPG exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Produced by Tomoya Asano and Masashi Takahashi of the Bravely series, players will experience the stories of eight different characters as they journey across the realm of Orsterra. Each story is unique, with little connected between them. Some seek revenge or redemption, others, treasure and challenge. Some still seek to find themselves, but with a diverse cast of characters and eight stories to follow, adventures and trials await for your entire party.
Octopath Traveler features turn-based battle mechanics with a strategic twist. Learn the weaknesses of your foes and exploit them to gain the upper hand. Discover the nuances between the eight different character classes, subclass them to gain more power and abilities, delve into challenging dungeons to discover treasures and advanced classes. You also can use the special skills of your party members to steal, challenge, investigate or allure hundreds of NPCs to your cause.
Octopath Traveler features a gorgeous, 16-bit look across 3-D styled backgrounds and HD textures. Dubbed 'HD-2D' by SquareEnix, the revolutionary visual design brings a retro style back to Nintendo consoles, but with a modern look that allows it to standout. The game also features a fully orchestrated soundtrack by composer Yasunori Nishiki.
