No More Heroesis an action-adventure hack and slash video game, originally released exclusively for the Wii. The game follows Travis Touchdown, a fan of video games and anime who wins a beam katana in an auction. From the initial purchase, he inadvertently becomes involved in the United Assassins Association and forced to kill assassins higher in rank to prevent other assassins from targeting him.
To actually fight any of the ranked assassin's, Travis first needs money (and lots of it). Getting cash involves completing a number of side missions and minigames across the city of Santa Destroy, ranging from picking up scorpions to mowing grass.
Once you're ready to fight the next assassin, you must tear through waves of enemies with Travis's ever flashier beam katanas. Each ranked assassin requires new strategies to face, before you finally reach the top — and possibly beyond.
