Lacuna is an adventure game developed by DigiTales Interactive and published by Assemble Entertainment, WhisperGames, Mayflower Entertainment. Set in a sci-fi noir universe, you play as CDI agent Neil Conrad. Waking up to news of a political assassination, this latest case quickly starts to put Conrad's life — and the solar system as a whole — in turmoil. Conrad must deal with bigger and larger conspiracies, making choices that could potentially lead him to the truth, or an early death.
While Lacuna takes some inspiration from classic point and click titles, it aims to change things up a little. It controls closer to a platformer, having full WASD or controller movement support, and dialogue is non-repeating. There's no worrying about pixel hunting for items or obscure object combination puzzles either, as the focus is on choice and story-driven mysteries. Anything that is interactable will be highlighted, ensuring that the pacing is never interrupted by clunky game mechanics.
