Bloodborne is a challenging souls-like action RPG where the player takes on the life of a ruthless Hunter searching for answers in an ancient city that a mysterious endemic illness has ravaged.
Players start the game by customizing their very own Hunter protagonist then venture out to explore and obtain new weapons and abilities to destroy anything that stands in their way. Players will also be able to choose a starting class known as an "Origin". The starter abilities and backstory of your Hunter depend on the class chosen, though the choice does not affect the overall gameplay; only the starter stats of the Hunter. Players will also be able to choose what brotherhood they want to be a part of, which are religious societies that have their own views on the world of Yharnam.
There are large and terrifying monsters that lurk around every corner of the city, and it is up to you to destroy them before they overtake everything the innocent have come to know and love.
