Assassin's Creed Origins is the tenth release in the Assassin's Creed series and takes the series to Ptolmaic era Egypt.
You play as Bayek, the first Assassin. After his son is killed by a mysterious masked cult he vows revenge, attempting to uncover who was in the cult and what they are trying to do. Assisting him is his wife Aya, who is working with Cleopatra to try and bring peace back to Egypt and keep both the Greeks and the Romans from taking over. The game will feature both the creation of the Assassins and the Templars, explaining how they started many of their customs and who their first members are.
While the story may start at the beginning, the gameplay has been revamped. An all new combat system seems to revive the series, ending the "counter and kill" formula that has been a staple and instead replacing it with a proper action RPG system. You'll be able to chain together light and heavy attacks to defeat enemies, along with sneaking around to try and stealth kill them. The parkour system has also been revamped, allowing players to climb on more surfaces than ever before.
Of course you will also be able to explore Egypt. A large open world with many locations on it gives the player plenty to explore. You can partake in side quests to help the citizens of Egypt and small location quests that give you little tasks in special areas all over the world. There's also plenty of side content you can participate in, like a combat arena or chariot races. People looking for plenty of content should find hours of gameplay here.
