Starpoint Gemini Ship Greenish Blue Space

Starpoint Gemini 2 is free on Steam for a limited time in celebration of the release of Starpoint Gemini Warlords according to developers Little Green Men Games and publisher Iceberg Interactive.

In Starpoint Gemini 2, you can take the helm of your very own spaceship. Players will make their way through the Gemini system with a mix of slowboating, wormholes, riftways, and T-Gates, ultimately confronting hostile forces in full 3-D combat in the game's open world. Outside of battle, you'll manage your ship with an RPG system, balancing your own abilities alongside bonuses from factions and hireable mercenary ships that will follow you into battle. The game's spaceflight and combat are further enhanced with the inclusion of NVIDIA's PhysX system.

The game features over 70 distinct ships for the player to control, each with their own customization options for modules and weaponry. 50 distinct factions of varying sizes are peppered throughout the Gemini system. Players can also acquire over a hundred different commodities either through trade or less scrupulous means. While this game may sound a good bit like EVE Online Lite, you need not worry about simplified navigational controls: you'll directly control your ship throughout the course of the same.

If Starpoint Gemini 2 seems like your kind of jam, head on over to the game's Steam Store page to grab a free copy for yourself.
