The May Humble Monthly early unlock game has been revealed. If you subscribe to Humble Monthly before May 3rd, you'll receive Ubisoft's open-world action-RPG Assassin's Creed Origins. More games will be revealed on May 3rd when the rest of the collection will be available for subscribers to download.
Assassin's Creed Origins takes place in Ptolemaic Egypt and places players in the shoes of Bayek of Siwa. Bayek is a Medjay, a member of an elite Egyptian paramilitary group resembling a modern international police force. A shadowy organization kills Bayek's son, so with the help of his partner Aya he sets out to seek justice and discover the intentions of his son's killers. We were big fans of Assassin's Creed Origins when it was released in 2017, so we heartily recommend picking it up as part of a Humble Monthly subscription. The MSRP for Origins is $59.99, so with a $12 Humble Monthly signup, you're saving quite a bit of cash.
April's games for Monthly subscribers have also been revealed. Unfortunately, you've now missed these games if you weren't already subscribed to the service. All three early unlocks are of course included: Absolver: Downfall, Northgard, and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. There were a total of 9 games this time around. April subscribers can enjoy Tannenberg, an authentic WWI shooter, as well as miniature RPG adventure Minit. Puzzle aficionados can get stuck into She Remembered Caterpillars, described by Humble as a puzzle game with an "unsettling fungipunk aesthetic". More action-oriented players can enjoy Metroidvania platformer Dandara and 2D action-arcade game Steel Rats.
Topping off the April Humble Monthly trove is Humble Original A Short Hike. Humble describes its Original program as "game ideas that are a little risky, a little experimental, and a lot of fun". Players will explore Hawk Peak Provincial Park, looking for unmarked trails and meeting fellow hikers along the way. Humble Originals are exclusive to Monthly subscribers, so you won't get to play this one if you weren't signed up in April.
We don't yet know what the May Humble Monthly games will be since they're not revealed until the day they're made available to subscribers. In this case, that's May 3rd, so make sure you're signed up to the humble monthly bundle before then if you want to enjoy Assassin's Creed Origins at its historically lowest price on PC (as well as whatever else is coming). Subscribers also get access to the Humble Trove which features over 60 DRM free indie games with more added every month.
