The good people over at GOG are holding yet another sale, so open up your wallets and prepare to splash out. The Made In Poland sale commemorates the 100th Polish Independence Day by offering Polish-made games at up to 90% off.
In addition to the games on sale, there are 2 new additions to the GOG DRM-free family: Souls-like RPG Lords of the Fallen and first-person shooter Call of Juarez. Incidentally, both of these games are also up for grabs at discounted prices - Fallen can be had for just $4.79, while Call of Juarez hits the dusty trail for $3.99.
Kicking things off this time around is survival strategy game Frostpunk. Set in a frozen world, Frostpunk sees players trying to balance ethical and empathetic decisions with the day-to-day realities of resource management and practical considerations. It's not a laugh-a-minute experience, but we rather liked it. Frostpunk can be yours for $21.89, or 27% off its regular retail price. Incidentally, if Frostpunk doesn't give you your tragedy jollies, check out wartime survival title This War of Mine, which is up for grabs at $5.99, 70% off its standard price.
If you've yet to play CD Projekt Red's seminal RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we'd strongly recommend you saunter over to GOG and pick up the Game of the Year edition. Both of the game's excellent DLC packs are included, promising hundreds of hours of wandering around the wilderness and solving very human problems for very human characters. You can grab The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition for just $19.99.
Maybe this all sounds a bit ponderous, and you'd just like to get on with some nice straightforward shooting action, thank you very much. If that's the case, you can wet your whistle with classic shooters like Hard Reset Redux, or check out the rebooted Shadow Warrior and its sequel for some good old-fashioned retro-style blasting. These titles have had a pretty significant amount slashed off their standard prices, so get while the getting's good.
There are plenty of other games we haven't even mentioned in the Made In Poland sale, so make sure you head on over to GOG and browse for your next obsession. The sale's over on November 12th at 11 pm UTC.
