GOG is currently offering discounts on classic point and click adventure and retro games, including Broken Sword, Kentucky Route Zero, Sid Meier's Piratesand more, as part of its "Adventure and Retroism" weekly sale.

The sale has been launched to mark the end of the yearly winter sales period, which frequently sees retailers such as GOG, Steam and Humble Bundle offering holiday discounts on games and other related products.

The "Adventure and Retroism" sale, which lasts until January 22nd, sees two categories of games being offered: "Adventure" and "Retroism".

The "Adventure" sale finds point-and-click adventure games discounted, as well as other titles with a similar genre or style. These range from celebrated titles such as Broken Sword and Syberia through to lesser-known games like The Samaritan Paradox and Quest for Infamy. The time period covered by these games is broad, ranging from early-90s games like Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender to more modern 2010s offerings such as 2016's Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders and 2017's Memoranda. Until the sale ends, these games are on offer for up to 90% off standard price.

The "Retroism" category offers a broader genre scope, but narrows its time period, exclusively offering games released prior to the year 2000 (with 2017's Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back a notable exception). Titles up for grabs here include Sid Meier's celebrated Colonization and Pirates! Gold Plus, as well as sci-fi turn-based strategy Deadlock, CRPG Challenge of the Five Realms and many more besides. Titles in the "Retroism" sale have up to 80% chopped off their usual offering price.

Both the "Adventure" and "Retroism" sales end on Monday, January 22nd, at 11 PM UTC (3 pm PST or 6 pm EST).
