If you thought Halloween couldn't get any spookier this year, think again. The GOG Halloween Sale is now live and it's bringing with it some truly terrifying games for you to snap up at horrifyingly low prices. Here are some of the highlights from this year's spooktacular sale.

GOG Halloween Sale - Horror

It wouldn't be a Halloween sale without horror games, now would it? GOG is the perfect place for all things horror this Halloween. Take a trip through some haunted woods with Blair Witch (25% off) or wander the alleyways of an old abandoned town in DreadOut (80% off). If you decide you haven't had enough of creepy towns, try Call of Cthulhu (50% off), and for a decidedly more naval horror expedition try Bloober Team's Layers of Fear 2 (33% off). Daymare: 1998 (20% off) is a niche horror game well worth checking out, and if you're a fan of P.T. hurting for more then you should definitely take a look at Visage (20% off).

GOG Halloween Sale - Detective and Mystery

What could be spookier than a mystery to unravel? The GOG Halloween Sale has plenty of detective and mystery games for you to immerse yourself in. Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure (80% off) brings the classic FMV adventure series back to life and is worth a try for this price. For something a little more interpretive and obscure, try Virginia (90% off). The Blackwell Bundle (70% off) serves as an excellent appetizer for the equally brilliant Unavowed (30% off). There's plenty here for you, whether you're a seasoned detective or new to the force.

GOG Halloween Sale - Classics

Lastly, we'd like to take a look at some GOG Halloween Sale classics. Diablo + Hellfire (15% off) serves up loot-gathering and demon-slaying with a strong gothic horror atmosphere. Clive Barker's Undying (75% off) is an underrated and surprisingly scary shooter. If you're looking for something decidedly more action-packed, try Blood 2: The Blood Group (75% off), which includes the original Blood 2 and its expansion pack. Last but not least, 1998's deeply unnerving adventure Sanitarium (50% off) is still well worth a visit for fans of psychological horror.

The GOG Halloween Sale runs until November 4th at 2 pm UTC. Make sure you get everything you want before then or you will forever be haunted by the spectre of regret.
