Thursday, February 9 marks the release of For Honor's Open Beta. She's going live for all the major platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PS4 and if it turns out its worth pre-ordering, you have a chance to get discounts. At least 20% off.

PC gamers have three options to choose from: GMG, GamersGate, and GamesPlanet. GMG is one the largest PC gaming retailers where you'll find a 20% instant discount slashing the Standard Edition to $47.99 and similar percentage price breaks for the Deluxe and Gold Editions. It's a similar story at GamersGate, but you'll actually have a higher 22% percent off making Standard as cheap as $46.79. If you're in Europe, Africa, or the Middle East you can buy a key at GamesPlanet for £31.99 which is a 20% discount similar to GMG. All three are authorized PC gaming retailers.

Update 2/14 - some prices have changed now that the game has released. GMG is now 15% off instead while GamersGate's 22% off discount is now expired.

Which edition is best to purchase?

Ubisoft's For Honor has three editions to choose from. The Standard isn't anything but the base game, but if you pre-order you will be granted the Legacy Battle Pack which includes 3 exclusive hero outfits for the Warden, Raider, and Kensei. This is the same pre-order bonuses found for the Deluxe and Gold editions, so pre-ordering grants you the same pre-order bonus no matter which.

The Deluxe Edition gets you a bit more content on day 1. Essentially it's more outfits and moves with the Special Execution Sunbeam Effect, 3 Unique Helmet Crests, and a Deluxe Edition Emblem. In-game there is 7 days of "Champion Status" which will grant you extra loot and XP for a period of time.

Gold gets you everything in Deluxe and then the Season Pass. Some of the SP content will be live on Day 1, such as your 30 days of Champion Status (you'll get an additional 7 days as well) 3 Scavenger Creates, exclusive Sunbeam Emotes for all 12 warriors. You'll also get 6 new warriors which will release in batches of 2 later on in 2017.
