If your memory is as good as ours, you'd remember the talk back in E3 2015 about a 1990s style shooter attempting to recreate the Quake and Doom style we loved back in the days. Well, that game is releasing today, May 9th at 10AM Pacific in the form of Pixie Titans' Strafe. The Kickstarter title is priced at $19.96 on Steam, but if you act fast you can get up to 21% off before it goes live.
Like the procedurally generated maps Strafe has as its main attraction, the best Strafe deal feels a bit off place at 21% off. Why not 20% off, or 25% off? Whatever the case, the pre-order deal drops the $19.96 list price down to $15.77 at GamersGate, an authorized Devolver Digital publisher.
Strafe Deals
GamersGate is $15.77- DLGamer is $17.96
- Steam Store is $19.96
The deal at GamersGate has a limited run and will only be valid up until the game goes live. This is at 10 AM Pacific on Tuesday, May 9. After that point, only one discount online remains for Strafe (that's our best guess anyways).
The last deal that may be available after GamerGate dies is at DLGamer with a 10% drop to $17.96 (given the retailer has no official expiration date). As a side note, last week DLGamer had a discount at about $16 but has since raised their price as the release date draws near. This may signal that discounts will be hard to find in the aftermath of Strafe's release - especially if the title fairs well in the reviews department.
