Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the holidays are here, and that means all the businesses, such as Steam, are holding their big sales. We've rounded up some of the major sales from the major video game sellers to help you save money this holiday season.
Amazon's Nintendo Switch deals
If you're looking to add a classic game's remake to your Switch library, Link's Awakening has its best deal on a physical copy currently going on at Amazon. But what if you're looking to get more controllers for your Nintendo Switch? Amazon is selling individual Joy-Con controllers, both red and blue, and while there's no discount on them, this will be the only way to get them by Christmas based on Amazon's shipping dates.
Epic Games offers epic deals
Starting yesterday, Epic Games has brought us deals of up to 75% off on select games and add-ons. Some of their newest and biggest titles, like Watch Dogs: Legion, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, are on sale along with older indie titles such as The Escapists 2 and SUPERHOT. If you're more curious about free games, MudRunner is currently the Epic Games free game of the week. Next week on December 3rd, Cave Story+ will be up for grabs, although there may be some unfortunate timing there with the latest bit of Nicalis controversy.
GOG's brings discounts and Batman
Over on GOG, a wide variety of games are being offered in flash sales. The first batch, which will expire tomorrow at 9 AM Eastern, includes Pathologic 2, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, and Hollow Knight. However, there are also about 2,600 games that are on sale for the entirety of the Black Friday sale. These sales include huge 90% off deals on games like The Talos Principle: Gold Edition and Tales of Monkey Island, as well as smaller deals on games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, GRIS, and Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. Finally, GOG welcomes five new Batman games to the store with 75% off deals on LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham as well as all four games in the Arkham series. GOG's Black Friday sale goes until 9 AM Eastern on December 1st.
Green Man Gaming flash sales
At Green Man Gaming, customers have access to a variety of big games on sale. DOOM Eternal for the PC is on sale at 67% off, Death Stranding for the PC has a 59% discount, and Control Ultimate Edition is available for the PC, also with a 59% discount. In addition to these big deals, Green Man Gaming is also holding a series of flash sales. Currently, customers can get deals on games like Crusader Kings III, Red Dead Redemption II, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Humble Bundle brings bundled deals
Humble Bundle currently has the Humble Store Fall Sale going on, which includes deals on games like Total War: Attila, Kerbal Space Program, and Civilization VI: Platinum Edition. However, customers looking for a more long-term deal should check out the Black Friday deal, which offers 45% off a Premium Humble Choice subscription. For $99, customers can get a year's worth of bundle games, up to 20% off Humble Store purchases, and more. Coinciding with this deal is a special offer for this month's Humble Choice bundle, which supports the Type 1 diabetes research charity JDRF. Premium and Classic subscribers get access to all 12 games in this bundle, which includes titles like Little Misfortune, Imperator: Rome, and Darkwood.
itch.io indie deals
If you have your eye on smaller games, itch.io is also running a Black Friday sale. Customers who haven't picked it up yet can get Among Us for 20% off. As for some other choice titles on sale, there's the charming detective game The Haunted Island, A Frog Detective Game, EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER, an episodic visual novel about gay disasters in meatmechs fighting neonazis, and the stylish beat 'em up Treachery in Beatdown City.
Steam's Autumn Sale
Starting two days ago, Steam has started holding their big Autumn sale. On the main page of the store, you can find featured deals on games like Hades, GTA 5, and Star Wars Squadrons. However, there are also plenty of deals out there for games big and small. If you're not interested in shopping, you can also partake in nominating games for The Steam Awards. Customers can choose games to nominate for ten different categories and will be able to vote on the nominated games during the Winter Sale. Yep, Steam will be having one more big sale by the end of the year, so keep your wallet ready!
