Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey

Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey has finally launched on iOS devices. The premium JRPG features beautiful hand drawn 2D art and classic JRPG style story and combat. The project is also the first collaboration between respected Japanese developers Hitoshi Sakimoto, Kazushige Nojima and Hideo Minaba with a Western studio.

Developer Kobojo worked with Final Fantasy VII writer Kazushige Nojima for Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey's scenarios. The composer of Final Fantasy Tactics Hideo Minaba composed music for the game. Artist Hitoshi Sakimoto's company CyDesignation, Inc. helped with the game's art design.

Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey is an original JRPG that was created by people from around the world, brought together by their love for the exploration, quests, scenarios, deep turn-based combat and beautiful artwork found in these types of games,” said Kobojo CEO Mario Rizzo. “We crafted Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey to be as engaging as it is stylish, offering an experience with Zodiac that will appeal to all players that enjoy JRPGs – regardless of platform.”

In addition to the lovely artwork and music Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey endeavors to combine all the best elements of the JRPG genre. Challenging battles and engaging story are intertwined with  free-form exploration of the world. RPG staples like item-crafting and endearing characters are of course present as well.

After winning the 2015 Ping Award for best mobile game and good feedback from the community Kobojo decided to make Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey a premium title on mobile devices and not free to play. Zodiac is now available in the App Store for $8.99. New content for the game will be released in the future including new worlds, characters and challenges.

Zodiac: Oracanon Odyssey has been approved on Steam Greenlight. There are already plans for the original JRPG to be available on Sony platforms early next year. Those interested in Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey can learn more about the game here, or download it to play here. We'll have a review for it in the near future as well!
