Yoshi’s Crafted World and Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn will launch for Nintendo Switch and 3DS respectively in March.

Nintendo is calling Yoshi’s Crafted World the titular dinosaur’s Switch debut (guess we’re not counting Super Smash Bros. UltimateMario Kart 8 Deluxe and all the other Switch games he’s in). Originally announced at E3 2017 and delayed from its original 2018 releaseYoshi’s Crafted World will hit Switch on March 29th. Players will explore a handcrafted world constructed from household items, flipping stages to solve puzzles and discover Poochy-Pups, the game’s collectibles. Yoshi’s Crafted World will support 2-player co-op, with both players using the system’s Joy-Con controllers. It’ll also be possible to dress Yoshi in protective handicraft costumes throughout the game, just in case it wasn’t already adorable enough for you.

Meanwhile, over in 3DS town, an enhanced version of Wii title Kirby’s Epic Yarn is on the way. Titled (creatively) Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn, the game will pack in the entire original Kirby’s Epic Yarn experience as well as offering new mini-games, extra abilities, new furniture, and an extra difficulty mode. New abilities (called Ravel Abilities) include a giant yarn ball, a wire sword, and the ability to generate wind for extra jump height. If you’re playing on a New 3DS with amiibo compatibility, Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn will also support amiibo, granting Kirby new hats and abilities if certain amiibo figures are used with the game. We’re not sure yet exactly what amiibo are compatible with the game, but it’s a safe bet that most Kirby-related figures can be used.

Development duties for both Yoshi’s Crafted World and Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn are being handled by Good-Feel, a studio that’s worked extensively with Nintendo on titles like Yoshi’s Woolly World and the original Kirby’s Epic Yarn. Yoshi’s game launches on March 29th for Switch, and Kirby’s game launches three weeks earlier for 3DS on March 8th. You’ll probably be able to also pick both up at the Humble Bundle shop, which recently added Nintendo 3DS and Switch titles in the US.

Dark Souls changed my life, and I'm here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
