Yomawari: Midnight Shadows

Yomawari: Night Alone’s sequel Yomawari: Midnight Shadows is coming West according to a recent announcement from NIS America. The original horror adventure game was released in North America and the EU on October 25, 2016, for the PlayStation Vita and PC. It’s follow up will be launching in North America and Europe sometime in the fall of 2017, not only for the Vita and PC but also on PlayStation 4.

Yomawari: Midnight Shadows

In Yomawari: Night Alone a girl must venture into the night to find her dog and sister. The game featured free-form exploration as players collected clues and evaded enemies. It looks as though Yomawari: Midnight Shadows will have a similar premise.

Titled Shin Yomawari in Japan, the game tells the eerie tale of two new characters, young girls Yui and Haru. The girls head home together in the dark after a night of watching fireworks when an attacker separates them. Now apart, they must survive the night and reunite with each other.

Spirits haunt the night in the new game as both characters explore strange and creepy locations. Players will need to use their wits as they help the girls navigate the darkness in this strategy adventure game with a horror theme from the developer of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary. Featuring lovely art with a cute aesthetic, fans of the first game will likely be interested in the sequel.

Yomawari: Midnight Shadows will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Windows PC via Steam in North America and Europe fall 2017. You can visit the game’s official webpage here to keep up to date with news about the upcoming release. So far not much has been revealed aside from the story premise and a release window.
