Do you love Olympic Games based video games? Well then, you're in luck because Sega just announced it is developing four Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games video games. Only one of the games is a somewhat realistic representation of the Olympic Games, whereas the other three are set to include Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog characters to join in the fun.

First up is the Olympic Games: The Official Video Game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. This is the one that takes a mostly realistic approach to the Olympic Games, with what looks like some added visual flair when performing at a high level in events. You will be able to create your own personal avatar to use in each event and work your way to earning the gold medal for each. Olympic Games: The Official Video Game will be coming summer 2019 in Japan and Asia, and sometime in 2020 worldwide.

Next is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. This game will see characters from both Mario and Sonic games competing to see which fantastical universe has the better Olympic level athletes. The game will have full Joy-Con motion control support for the events you will be playing throughout. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be headed to Switch in winter of 2019 worldwide.

There will also be an arcade edition for the game that will be playable in full arcade cabinets, although this version seems to be exclusively coming to arcades in Japan in 2020 at this time.

Lastly, Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be coming to iOS and Android devices. The game will feature Sonic and his friends competing in events through the use of simple touch screen controls. The game will also feature "unique social features" to utilize with friends on their own devices. Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be releasing sometime in 2020.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games are just around the corner and what better way to prepare than to test your mettle against your friends in a virtual version of the games themselves.
