XSEED Games have revealed what games they'll be bringing us this October, just in time for Halloween. Both games will be released on the 25th; Exile's End is a 2D platformer coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita, and Corpse Party - a remastered version of the 2011 horror adventure - is being brought to the Nintendo 3DS. There's a teaser trailer for Exile's end, which we've brought to you below, and a whole host of screenshots that you can find at the bottom of the article for both games.

Exile's End is described as a 'dark and futuristic 2D sidescroller offering adventure style puzzles, tightly controlled platforming, and dangerous extraterrestrials.' The game comes from Tokyo-based games developer Matt Fielding, a one-man development studio, in collaboration with artists and 'Local industry veterans' with experience on titles such as Secret of Mana. The trailer and the tone of the game look like a callback to the 90's, blending Metroid-like exploration based platforming with adventure game puzzles. It might not be pretty, but the game will feature it's own stylized animated cut-scenes and aims to tell an interesting story too. Exile's end will release as a digital download in North America via the PlayStation Store on October 25th for PS4 and Vita, priced $9.99. No European release date has yet been announced. The game will also be available for Wii U in North America, but the release date is not yet confirmed.

Corpse Party is a remastered edition of the 2011 PSP release featuring: 'redrawn, high-resolution character sprites, newly arranged music tracks in binaural 3D audio, and 3D art stills, as well as four new Extra Chapters exclusive to this version that provide insight into lesser shown characters and plot elements previously left unexplained.' You may remember that additional chapters were included in the PC version that released back in April on Steam, but these four are exclusive to the 3DS, just as one was exclusive to the PC. The 3DS version contains 14 extra chapters in total, 10 of which were present in the PSP re-release and the PC version. If your head is spinning trying to work out what exactly you're getting with the 3DS port, XSEED has got your back, they've produced a handy guide for just his situation.

For those who missed it the first time around Corpse Party is a horror adventure game where players 'take control of a group of Japanese high school students who inadvertently engage in a pagan ritual and find themselves inexplicably transported into a whole other space: an inescapable echo of a long since demolished school building where a series of gruesome murders once took place.' XSEED Games are bringing North American customers a limited edition physical release, known as the 'back to school' edition. This will feature miniatures of series characters Naomi Nakashime and Seiko Shinohara, and a soundtrack CD with music from the game that was not previously released on the "Songs of the Dead" compilation. A digital release is also coming on the 25th of October - priced $29.99. The game will release digitally across Europe on the 26th, priced £24.99/€29.99.
