Last week at the Xbox Spring Showcase details on the March update for the Xbox One were revealed, along with tons of information on upcoming games which you can find here. Microsoft has been doing great with listening to gamers about what features they would like to see or changes they'd like to see for existing features and actually implementing those suggestions, this update is no exception.
The biggest new feature coming with the update is the ability to purchase Xbox 360 games that have been added to the backwards compatibility list through the store. This means that you'll no longer have to use your old 360 or the web to buy games off the list, they will be getting their own spot on the Xbox One store.
Changes to the party chat system are also a big part of the March update. The party chat size for both the Xbox One and Xbox App on Windows 10 will see their players capacity raised to 16 over the now available 12. Other changes include the option to output party chat to your headset and speakers at the same time, as well as the option to have your entire party chat broadcast if you are streaming on the Twitch app, but each party member will need at accept an invitation for their voices to be broadcast.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMQgrp7aykw Achievements will be easier to access with the update since they will be added to the guide sidebar between your party and the messages icon. This will allow you to track achievements without having to load the achievements app.
You will be able to watch videos directly from the social feed, Xbox 360 achievements will now appear in Xbox One, Xbox app, and Windows 10 activity feeds. A tweak to the reputation system will now only show the reputation graph is a player isn't in good standing. Lastly, the "Xbox Record That" feature will now be customizable, meaning you will be able to set the Game DVR to record the last 15, 30, or 45 seconds or the last 1, 3, or 5 minutes.
