Another tweet released by Xbox Support says the purchasing issue mentioned above is also now fixed.
Original Story: Imagine my surprise -- and thousands of others -- after being met with a blockade when trying to play the Anthem beta on the Xbox One (which launched less than an hour ago at the time of this writing). The game wouldn't sync its data, and others they cannot even login to their Xbox Live account. And this is for the third day in a row that there are Xbox Live issues.

At the time of this writing, checking the Xbox Live status shows "Limited." I experienced an issue signing into both the Anthem beta and Resident Evil 2. Data would not sync, offering the chance to either play offline or try again. Anthem is, of course, all online, and I also received the same prompt for Resident Evil 2.
Issues with Xbox Live seemed to start on January 30th, 2019. One user on /r/Xboxone reports troubles pre-downloading Wargroove on Wednesday, encountering an "Installation Stopped" message consistently. Xbox Support tweeted out a message Wednesday:

The issues were supposedly resolved, but the next day users reported more trouble. Players encountered more downloading errors on January 31, 2019, which was again fixed by engineers. I did not encounter anything yesterday despite playing on my Xbox, but it was an important enough issue that Xbox Support tweeted about it.
So, Xbox Live is down again for the third day. Outages for online services happen every once in a while, but three days of consecutive problems is concerning to say the least. For now, if you are experiencing issues you can go to the Xbox Live Status page and under "Services" click "Notify me" so that you will be contacted when everything is back online.
Quick Take
It's really disappointing to see three days of continual problems. Although I'm only affected today, the timing was really inopportune. The Anthem beta went live and the issues started roughly an hour before. Others, who are playing online-only multiplayer games this Friday, are likely unable to actually play anything because they can't sign in.
