Don Matthews, Commercial Director of Ninja Theory took to the stage at Xbox E3 2019. He began talking about the future of the company now that they've been brought under the umbrella of Xbox Game Studios. We then heard from Ninja Theory Creative Director Rahni Tucker. They promised that the technical alpha will be kicking off in just a few weeks for the brand-new project that they had in the works: Bleeding Edge.
Bleeding Edge has been in the works for a few years now; Commercial Director Don Matthews mentioned that they had begun the project before they had been acquired by Xbox Game Studios. Following the acquisition, they've now brought this new title to E3 and they've had the distinction as being the first developer to show up live on stage at E3 2019.
Ninja Theory's newest game is a third-person shooter where players will engage in intense 4 vs. 4 combat. Players will have their choice of twelve different characters, ten of which have been revealed on the game's official website. Each character can be customized with hundreds of cybernetic modifications, all of which are earnable through normal gameplay.
A news post on the Xbox Wire has some more details. While each of the fighters is unique in their own way, they'll each roughly fall into one of three classes: Assassin, Support, or Heavy. Players can use a mix of ranged and melee combat styles.
The maps in Bleeding Edge will also provide a serious challenge: environmental hazards are very much a thing in Ninja Theory's latest game. Toss your enemies into an electric fence, charge them into the path of an oncoming train, or Sparta kick them into a pit of flames! A lot of options are going to be available outside of the cool equipment that each character will have.

Bleeding Edge will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. The technical alpha for Bleeding Edge kicks off on June 27, 2019.
