The iconic images of Dragonball Z fighters blasted onto the screen for the world premiere of the latest fighting game in the series. Players can engage in Marvel vs. Capcom-style 3v3 clashes with iconic characters from the universe like Goku, Majin Buu, and Frieza. Dragon Ball FighterZ will be coming in Early 2018.

Developed by Arc System Works of Guilty Gear and BlazBlue fame, the game's existence was accidentally leaked on June 9th by a Japanese press release that was dated for June 12th. At the time, we didn't know which characters would be in the game. The trailer has shown us Goku, Vegeta, Majin Buu, Frieza, Gohan (and/or possibly Trunks), and Cell. As one would expect with the series, we see characters in multiple different "forms" such as varying Super Saiyan levels. Unsurprisingly, the soundtrack has a distinct heavy metal flair to it much like the developer's previous fighting game titles.

If you're at E3 in person, DRAGON BALL FighterZ will be playable at publisher Bandai Namco's booth (#1647) in the South Hall of the LA Convention Center. If you're stuck waiting at home, you won't have to wait for too long to take a crack at the game - a closed beta will be available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 before the end of summer. It will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and on PC (via Steam) some time in Early 2018.
