Blizzard Entertainment's MMO World of Warcraft is celebrating its 12-year anniversary by giving players an Anniversary Gift Package through a vendor as reported by the game's official website.

Subscribers who log in between now and November 30 will earn the WoW's 12th Anniversary Achievement. Following this, players will receive an Anniversary Gift Package in their mailbox. The Anniversary Gift Package will contain three gifts. First, a Celebration Package item can be used as a one-time buff to increase experience and reputation from kills by 12% for a period of one hour. Secondly, players will receive 200 Timewarped Badges; this currency can be used to purchase a variety of different items listed over at WoWHead. Lastly, the Letter from the Timewalkers item will allow players to begin a new quest created for the 12th Anniversary of World of Warcraft.

The Letter from the Timewalkers will send Alliance players to meet Historian Llore in Stormwind City and Horde players to meet Historian Ju’pe in Orgrimmar. These questgivers will be asking general trivia about World of Warcraft. Correct answers will earn players additional Timewarped Badges. Players will be able to purchase the Corgi Pup from their faction's respective vendor for 200 Timewarped Badges.

World of Warcraft has been around for some time and it isn't going anywhere. The development team has outlined plans for their future patches after the launch of the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion. Among the coming features are "micro holidays" which will be less grandiose celebrations similar to things like the Lunar Festival or Hallow's End, new raids, and new opportunities to earn even more loot.

Can you believe it's been 12 years of World of Warcraft? What do you think of the Anniversary Gift Package and the Corgi Pup? Do you think World of Warcraft will still be around in some form in another 12 years? Let us know in the comments below!
