Tongue-in-cheek survival horror game Yuppie Psycho will launch for PC on April 25th.

The game takes place in a humorous dystopian world inspired by ’90s aesthetics and culture. Players will take control of Brian Pasternack, a young man who starts a new job with huge corporation Sintracorp. Once there, he learns that his job entails hunting a witch who is responsible both for the company’s success and the ongoing torment of its employees.

Check out the launch trailer for Yuppie Psycho below:

The trailer shows off the game’s pixel aesthetic, as well as some of its humorous and subversive dialogue. Gameplay-wise, you’ll be chatting to your fellow employees and trying to discover their secrets. You’ll also be balancing your work life with your social obligations to your colleagues. In characteristic style, developer Baroque Decay lists the game’s features on the Steam page using office-style work jargon like “Engage in Watercooler Conversation”, “Assess Health and Safety”, and “Conduct a Rigorous Personal Assessment”. Players will need all of these techniques to outsmart the horrifying creatures that stalk Sintracorp’s halls and discover the corporation’s hidden secrets.

Yuppie Psycho is developed by Baroque Decay, the studio responsible for pixel-filled fairytale survival horror title The Count Lucanor (check out TR’s review here). Music for Yuppie Psycho is coming from Michael Kelly, also known by his alias Garoad. He composed the soundtrack for cyberpunk bartending simulator VA-11 HALL-A. It looks like Yuppie Psycho will also release for Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch at some point. Those who are content to play it on PC can expect a Steam release on April 25th.

Dark Souls changed my life, and I'm here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
