Wild West-themed MMO Wild West Online will be entering Early Access on November 15, 2017, according to a post on the game's official forums.

Wild West Online is an MMO set in the Wild West of the late 1800s. Although the game draws inspiration from the time period, the locations and characters will be wholly original. Development has been chugging along, but the developers have been holding their proverbial cards close to their chest in terms of how the game looks and plays. Even so, they released a short video a few months ago that should give you an idea of what the gameplay in Wild West Online is like:

Players can saddle up and ride out into the badlands with a character loaded for bear and dressed to the nines. Whether you'll walk the path of a lawman or an outlaw, you'll have over 20 different guns and 100 quests available from the start of the Early Access period. This does seem to be a genuine testing alpha, so players should expect that the game will change and evolve over the coming weeks and months leading to the eventual full release of the game later this year.

Although there isn't much yet in terms of official video for the game just yet, the developers have a rather large FAQ on their forum that answers a whole bunch of questions one might have about the game. If Wild West Online sounds like your kind of jam, you can pick up a copy for yourself over at playwwo.com. A Steam version of the game will follow sometime in the future (and, of course, all early access owners will get a Steam key when that process is completed.) You can get in a day earlier on November 14th by springing for one of the slightly pricier account options.

What do you think of Wild West Online? Does the idea of a Western MMO appeal to you? What would you like to see in the game? Let us know in the comments below!
