The newest weekly Humble Bundle features games from Japanese developers and we here at TechRaptor have detailed the games included in the bundle for our readers!

vanguard logo

Vanguard Princess is 2D fighting game with an all-female cast. Originally a freeware game made by a single person, Suge9, the game was fully translated into Englished and got a full release outside of Japan. Suge9 was a spite designer that worked on games like Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood and his skill can certainly be seen here with a wide variety of colourful characters to play.

Choose your main fighter and a support character and go head to head against the computer or against friends. The included DLC are 2 extra characters for the game.

vulkaiser logo

Supercharged Robot Vulkaiser is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up that is a homage to many super robot series of the 1970's. Made by the creators of Satazius and Gigantic Army, the game does a great job of combining it's old-school aesthetic with the gameplay that is expected of this genre.

Any fan of oldschool anime or shoot em ups will likely have a blast. Heck, this one even features English subtitles in yellow for that authentic fansub of yore feel.

99 spirits logo

99 Spirits is an RPG with puzzle elements in the battles. Based around Hanabusa, a girl in medieval Japan who is on a quest to avenge her mother by killing the evil spirits that killed her.

The game features a lot of lore and creates from Japanese mythology which will certainly appeal to fans of Japanese media and culture. It also features the option for either English or Japanese audio.

gurumin logo

Gurumin is an action-RPG by Falcom with real-time combat, colourful graphics, fun characters and some really great music. While it is an older title, originally coming out in 2004, it still holds upas a quirky, fun little title.

neo aquarium logo

Neo Aquarium: The King of Crustaceans is an odd little game which pits aquatic creatures such as crabs and barnacles against each other. Of course, these aren't just regular creatures; they also have different powers like the ability to wield lasers. This whacky title does have a strange control scheme that is difficult to get used to and will take practice.

sacred tears logo

The Sacred Tears TRUE is a traditional JRPG with a non-traditional card battle system that is simple but also deceptively deep. Featuring interesting characters, art by a known manga artist (Takashi Konno) and nice music, this is one a JRPG fan should check out.

As an important side note, the battle system will be difficult for those who are colour blind.

neptunia rebirth logo

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 takes place in a world known as Gameindustri where CPUs - parodies of actual game consoles - work together to save the world. Everything in the game is a reference or a parody of actual game industry titles, figures, etc.

Including some new additions such as having the battle system from the third Neptunia title, the original scout system has been totally revamped into the remake system, brand new dialogue and other changes.
