Games Workshop has announced the upcoming release of the Tyranid Codex for Warhammer 40K via the Warhammer Community website. The new codex promises to bring new rules for each of the seven major Hive Fleets present in the game’s backstory to allow players the opportunity to choose their preferred method of cleansing the galaxy of all biological life. The website will also be featuring small previews of the hive fleets throughout the week to help get Tyranid players excited for their new codex. Next week’s pre-order wave will also include the Moonbase Klasius terrain set available separately, a Citadel brand painting handle to allow for better control over a model while painting, and a truly massive terrain set for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar with the Citadel of the Everchosen-a bundle that will allow players the opportunity to build an eight-pointed Chaos Dreadhold.

Steamforged Games has begun their Halloween sale via their web store this last week. The Halloween sale give Guild Ball players an opportunity to pick up not only an undead team with The Dark Harvest, but a Halloween-themed Obulus and Dirge set and a rather festive Oktoberfest Esters and Quaff as well. The company has also released this week’s update to the Union in Chains event, with a focus on Gutter’s decision to join either the Butchers Guild or the Fisherman’s Guild. And finally, Warcradle Studios was out in full force this last weekend at the Spiel gaming expo in Essen, Germany to show off the second edition of Wild West Exodus to eager fans and curious newcomers alike. The company has several new models on display for both the Order and the Hex, along with appearances by the Wayward Eight and the Deadly Seven. The company booth also featured studio artists painting miniatures and showcasing the 3d sculpting process as well. And to round things off, cosplayer Tabitha Lyons was in appearance in her full regalia as Countess Augusta Bryon. Several additional images and videos from the event are available via the Wild West Exodus Facebook page.
