Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.
Corvus Belli has announced the Infinity releases for October a bit late this month. Players can now purchase the starter set for the Shock Army of Acontecimento, the Haqqislam Al Fasid heavy infantry, Combined Army Suryats, Yu Jing Wu Ming assault corps, a new Miyamoto Mushashi, and the 300 point Tohaa army in a box. Along with this latest wave of releases, the company also launched a new version of its online web store complete with a single sign-on that will link both the web store and the army builder. At the time of this writing, the forums are currently scheduled to be integrated in the near future.
Warcradle Studios released a second FAQ for Wild West Exodus early yesterday morning which added a few minor tweaks to their last FAQ released earlier this month. This update introduces pre-measuring to the game, along with some minor tweaks to smoke grenades, the dollar cost for taking Ladies of the West models, and a nerf to models with TNT by shrinking the blast size down to 3” and thereby removing its ability to force targets to go prone for a turn. The updated FAQ is available here.
Raging Heroes published its monthly TGG2 Kickstarter update today, providing both good and bad news to their fans. The bad news is that the scenery crowdfunding campaign has been pushed back a few months for several reasons. The primary reason is the launch of several other major campaigns, which would draw peoples’ attention and hobby funds away. The good news is that instead of doing one single scenery campaign, there will be three. One will be a traditionally Gothic theme for the Sisters of Eternal Mercy while the other two will fit with the Kurganova Shock Troops: one with a Blade Runner-esque cyberpunk motif and one heavily inspired by the Socialist Realism design philosophy created by the Soviet Union. Full details are available on the Raging Heroes blog.
We also have lots of news from Games Workshop and Forge World. The company released a preview of the upcoming Thousand Sons release wave for Warhammer 40,000. Not only will the army be getting plastic Rubric Marines, but plastic Sorcerers, Rubric Terminators, Tzaangors, a brand new Ahriman model as well, and of course Magnus the Red. The Thousand Sons release is currently scheduled for pre-order on December 3rd.
Forge World announced the upcoming release of the Acastus Knight Porphyrion, a brand new Imperial Knight model ready for the battlefields of the fat future. The Acastus Knight Porphyrion is a bulky, heavily armed leviathan designed to decimate enemies of the Imperium from afar with Magna-lascannons and a complete battery of Ironstorm missiles. As of this writing, there is no set release date for this model.
Finally, the company announced several upcoming boxed sets for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. The Tau, Adeptus Mechanicus, Space Wolves, and Deathwatch will be featured this year, along with the Stormcast Eternals, Ironjawz, Khorne Bloodbound and Sylvaneth.
