Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.

Raging Heroes has announced an extension of their pledge manager for their second Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Kickstarter campaign. The new deadline is July 25th. Along with this extension, the company has finally released renders for the Altar of the Succubi and the War Pulpit. These large centerpiece miniatures have been widely anticipated by Raging Heroes fans. These models are also available through the Pledge Manager for Kickstarter backers, and will be available for general release when the TGG2 models become available.

Games Workshop announced the release of plastic Horus Heresy-era Space Marines for use in either Warhammer 40K or Horus Heresy games, along with a small number of painting tutorials for Heresy-era legions. Realizing that the vast majority of people who purchased Betrayal at Calth were simply interested in getting Heresy-era models in plastic, the company has released the models from the game individually. The Compemptor Dreadnought, Cataphractii Terminators, Space Marine captains, and Mark IV squads are currently available for pre-order and will be available in stores on July 16th. While there is no solid evidence to indicate this, people are speculating that this small release of plastic Horus Heresy models is a market test to gauge interest in getting more Horus Heresy miniatures in Games Workshop stores, removing the Forge World barrier to entry. Only time will tell if this is the case.

Mantic Games has announced the release of the Empire of Dust for Kings of War. An Egyptian-themed undead army, the Empire of Dust features legions of skeleton troops, enslaved Djinn, and swarms of scarabs to overwhelm their foes. Army list information for the Empire of Dust is available in the Kings of War: Uncharted Empires supplement. The company also announced the release of army-themed paint sets from Army Painter, allowing players to quickly get their forces painted up and ready for the battlefield.

Privateer Press has updated the tutorial video for Warmachine, showcasing the new rules and updates for their Mk. 3 release. The video features Cygnar and Cryx forces duking it out, showing off the models available in the upcoming Mk. 3 two player starter set. The release date for the new battle box is set for August, though availability may be limited judging from the supply issues the company has faced thus far with the Mk. 3 release.

And finally, Warlord Games is now taking pre-orders for Konflict ’47, a new WWII-era wargame based on Bolt Action. In this game, you’ll be taking charge of the well-known Axis or Allied forces armed with giant walkers, tanks armed with giant lasers, and various other futuristic weapons to either liberate or conquer the world. Currently, the German and US army starter sets are available for pre-order, along with the main rulebook. Konflict ’47 currently is slated for an August 2016 release date.
