Vermintide

Warhammer End Times: Vermintide was initially released on PC last December. In the following months, it received pretty favorable consensus from both critics and public. This co-op class based rat slaying simulator tickled more than one fancy. Now, it's console player's turn to join the mayhem. Nordic Games and FatShark announced that Vermintide will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by October 4th.

The console version of Vermintide will pack all the DLCs currently released on the PC version including the "Last Stand" gaming mode as well as its two maps, Sigmar's Blessing, and the Drachenfels DLC with its three additional maps.

In case you never played or heard of it, Vermintide is a co-op first person action game set in the End Times period of Warhammer. Players will be able to pick a class from the 5 available and will have to work and collaborate together to reach the end of the level while slicing and launching fireballs through the hordes of Skaven that invaded the city of Ubersreik. Think of a Left 4 Dead set in one of the grimmest periods of the Warhammer universe and you'll have a pretty accurate idea of what the game is like. If you want to learn more about it, read our review on the PC version.

To bring Vermintide on PS4 and Xbox One, FatShark teamed up with Nordic Games who will be handling the retail release. According to Reinhard Pollice, Business and Product Development Director at Nordic Games, this is a match made in heaven.

The combination of Fatshark and Warhammer seems too good to be true. We do have quite a few fanboys in our team, who played Krater, Lead and Gold, and – of course – also played the hell out of Warhammer Vermintide on PC. To say we are stoked to work with Fatshark on Warhammer Vermintide for consoles and the physical edition for PC is the understatement of 2016 in my book

Console players will have to wait only a couple of months more before they're able to unleash their fury on the Skaven.
