Today, Xbox announced that Wargroove, released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, (and coming soon to the PlayStation 4), will be coming to Xbox Game Pass May 2nd.

Wargroove is a turn-based strategy game that is very reminiscent of the Advanced Wars series. Players can play a single-player campaign, play an Arcade and a Puzzle mode, and find cool secrets and other hidden unlockables. Players can also take the battle online with up to four players on regular maps or custom-made maps made by players in the in-game editor. There are also four factions for players to choose from: the Cherrystone Kingdom, Heavensong Empire, Felheim Legion, and Floran Tribes. Modding capabilities are soon to come as well. Below is a quote from the press release:

Xbox Game Pass provides players with access to an ever-growing subscription-based catalogue of awesome games, so we’re really excited to be sharing Wargroove with even more players on the platform.

When war breaks out in the Kingdom of Cherrystone, the young Queen Mercia must flee her home. Pursued by her foes, the only way to save her kingdom is travel to new lands in search of allies. But who will she meet along the way, and what sinister challenges will she face?

Wargroove is playable in ten languages, (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified & Traditional Chinese), and is set to soon receive new updates.
