Sukeban Games have a nice Valentine’s Day gift for those who loved my game of the year for 2016, Va-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartending Action. The game has an update that has gone live today that adds additional content that adds to an already wonderful story. The game also is discounted 15% off for the time being until February 19th on GOG (Affiliate Link) and Steam.
The update includes a new Prologue section and a Special Demo section for the game set in the future involving a bar, an android sex worker, and a rad shiba. The prologue section, in particular, was originally used as a demo to show off the game and its future for a fully blown game, and it’s now come back for people to enjoy the additional story element.
Some characters return to give Jill more background on their lives and to confess their deepest darkest secrets. The focus is on the incident that gave Jill her semi-fear of dogs and Betty and her personal Slave-Boy, Deal. This includes some new elements as well with sections with a green shiba, and names such as “Satan’s Hellper” and “Dragon f*****”. It also gives the meeting of Jill and Anna Graem, which has always had some mysterious elements to her, but it was unsure how she came to be in Jill’s world. If you’re wondering if that makes sense given the nature of the game, rest assured that it fits in rather perfectly into the story and still makes sense. There’s new music included here as well, and if you know how the good the soundtrack is, then you should be rushing to listen to what it has to offer.
In addition, they’ve added some more wall designs to purchase for Jill’s apartment, and of course, some bug fixes to round out the update as a whole.
Look, I have no idea why you haven’t probably played Va-11 HALL-A yet. I’m going to be playing this update shortly because VA-11 HALL-A is a fantastic game that everyone should play. So if you needed even more of a reason then the 9.5/10 rating that TechRaptor gave it, the Reader’s Choice awards it got for Indie Game of the Year from TechRaptor, and my own personal game of the year for 2016, then I don’t know what more is going to sell you on it. PLAY IT. LOVE LIVE THE RAD SHIBA.More About This Game
