You might have expected to pick up Vambrace: Cold Soul this month per its original release date, but that will have to wait. You'll be able to play it soon, but developer Devespresso Games is letting the game cook just a bit longer.

Vambrace: Cold Soul will release on May 28th, 2019. Meanwhile, the upcoming Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases are still slated for Q3 2019.

According to a press release, the delay is due to feedback gathered from a recent showing at both GDC and PAX East:

Devespresso Games and Headup remains invested in delivering the best immersive experiences to players. As such, the team is focused on providing as much of a bug-free experience as possible.
Vambrace: Cold Soul is a roguelike RPG inspired by various games including tabletops, FTL: Faster Than Light, and Darkest Dungeon. Players take the role of Evelia Lyric. By creating a band of adventurers of various races and classes, you embark on dangerous expeditions on the frigid surface of this fantasy world. Life or death decisions and brutal combat await.

This story-driven roguelike RPG also features a robust crafting system, collectible lore bits, side-quests, and a beautiful art style.

We sat down with Devespresso Games earlier this month. If Vambrace's gameplay interests you, be sure to check out an upcoming feature on this title's gameplay design.

Quick Take

I must commend the developers for taking the feedback from GDC and PAX East to heart. When I talked with one of the developers, he was very pleased with the reaction. While I would have liked to play Vambrace for myself this April, more time to squash bugs and address quality-of-life concerns is a respectable move.
