Sony Europe today announced the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be getting the special edition treatment.

In a blog post, Sony showed off the new Uncharted collection for the PS4, containing all three games in the Uncharted series, remastered for the next-generation system.

The special edition will package all three games in a nice steel-case, and also contain a few more goodies for fans. Most notably a 48-page artbook titled The Art of the Uncharted Trilogy, showing off concept art and designs from all three games in the series. Lastly, the case will come with a package of stickers, and when purchased, will give Uncharted fans exclusive access to the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4.

All three Uncharted games will be remastered in 1080p, and Sony is promising 60fps for the Nathan Drake Collection.

The Uncharted series was developed by Naughty Dog exclusively for the Playstation. The games were a major success, spawning two sequels, a PS Vita prequel, and the continuation of the franchise for the Playstation 4.

The next game in the series, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, is scheduled to be released early next year. Naughty Dog has confirmed that Thief’s End will be the last game in the series to feature protagonist Nathan Drake,  but otherwise few details have been released about the next game at this time.

The Nathan Drake Collection was first revealed back in June when a leak was confirmed by Naughty Dog regarding the games existence. Developer studio Bluepoint Games, the team behind the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, are developing the project.

The Nathan Drake Collection will be released on October 7th in Europe, Australia and New Zealand and October 9th in the U.K and Ireland. Currently, there is no announcement of a North American release of the special edition, nor has the price of the entire bundle been revealed. It is possible that a separate bundle is planned for North America, but there are no details at this time.

So will you be picking up the special edition of the Nathan Drake Collection? Will it come to North America? Leave your comments below.
