Ubisoft is taking bug-squashing in Rainbow Six Siege very seriously. The company is dishing out in-game rewards to players who report bugs.

The program is called Bug Hunter. The aim is to allow anyone on Rainbow Six Siege's test server to make bug reports via the company's R6Fix tool. Right now, the incentive for players who do so is an in-game weapon charm containing a pretty cute reference to an infamous Rainbow Six Siege bug. The Frost charm on offer refers to the Raptor Legs bug, which caused characters' legs to take on horrifyingly inhuman proportions and orientations. The Raptor-legged Frost charm will be available to all players who reach a threshold of 3 reported bugs (they have to be acknowledged by Ubisoft, though).

D'aww.

Here's how the process works: you first need to submit the bug via R6Fix. Once you've done this, Rainbow Six Siege's QA team will try to replicate the problem. If they succeed, your report will be listed as Acknowledged. Once you hit three Acknowledged reports, you'll be marked down to receive the Raptor-legged Frost charm. Of course, there are a few terms and conditions. All issues must be clearly stated, written in English, and be accompanied by visual evidence. You can submit either a screenshot or a video; as long as it details the problem, Ubisoft isn't too bothered.

Only the first person to report each bug will receive credit towards the reward, so no plagiarizing others' bug reporting. If you do submit a duplicate report, it'll get discarded. Rewards will be distributed every other Friday. Ubisoft says it's planning to introduce more reporting thresholds in the future and that it will keep interested players updated on how to get new rewards.

The Bug Hunter program is currently active on the Rainbow Six Siege test server. If you submitted a bug report prior to April 25th (the date the program became active) then it sadly won't count towards your in-game charm. If you've got any questions about this process, check out the official FAQ. If you haven't played for a while you'll be pleased to know Ubisoft recently dropped the price of Operators.

Will you be heading onto the test server to report some bugs? Let us know in the comments below!
