Ubisoft talked about their tournament dedicated solely to Rainbow Six: Siege that will begin again on June 18th. This announcement came during Ubisoft's E3 2018 press conference.

The 6 Major, part of the Pro League eSports initiative, will last six months and take teams across many different countries. The major begins in August in Paris, France. Then the Pro League finals will take place in Brazil in November of this year. Then, an invitational will take place in February in Montreal, Canada.

Just after these announcements, Ubisoft Montreal community developer Justin Kruger gave the audience a sneak peak into a new eSports documentary following Rainbow Six: Siege players. The documentary, titled Another Mindset, will release in August and is being produced by Ubisoft.

The documentary followed eight influential Siege players and community managers for nine months. While many of the people featured in the documentary are Siege players, there are a few exceptions, including a eSports coach and a commentator.

Kruger added that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege recently reached 35 million players. The game was released two and a half years ago and continues to receive content updates, including the recent addition of two new Italian operators.
